Most of us can lose weight, at least in the short
term, but to lose weight forever is the trick.. to lose it and keep it off. This in most cases, this is a matter of
some lifestyle change.
Our weight condition is almost always related to the
balance of calories in vs calories consumed. The variable most of us have is how our body treats the "consuming"
part of that equation. For some, getting the "consuming" part done is simply a matter of doing what it
takes to "burn" more calories.
For others, it may be a matter of some medical
evaluation to see how our metabolism is working. We know as we age, it slows. We also know that in any one body it
will vary because muscle mass consumes more calories than does fat mass. At first, until we get rid of the
"inefficient" metabolism parts of our body, it may seem like we are treading water in our desire to lose weight.
Diet alone does not seem to work.
The purpose of exercise? Not to just burn
calories, but to transform our bodies into the parts that do metabolize, mainly muscle. Now as this is
written.. we must put in this disclaimer. This is not a universally accepted fact. My doctor and I continually
argue over it.
If you could get rid of weight quickly and easily and you
